It the best feeling in the world to have an AAA pass and not have to show it to no one. Everybody knew who I was and what I was there for … I grew up with the whole family.

Ioana and Mihai are not the sanest people I`ve met so here`s your answer in case you were wondering about the excessive use of the Fish-Eye. They specifically said “no ordinary pictures” and “no staged pictures” either. Trust me, it sounds great … it isn`t! At first I was happy with that, it`s my style, but later in the day … things got complicated `cause they were everywhere. So every now and then we had to improvise stuff for them to do just to distract them OUR WAY!

Overall, great party, and I bet it ended up with a bang! We got really tired around 4AM and hit the sack , but they staid up `till sunrise and then some … rumor has it “they both took a dive in the pool at the end, with the clothes on”!

Way to go guys!

P.S. The first 2 pictures were taken that morning at his parents house. They are high-school colleagues of either Cristina or Gabi (aka Mihai`s mom and dad)

We have known Pinky and Serj (aka Dana and Sergiu) for more than 6 years now. They have been close friends, even after they jumped ship and moved to the Netherlands 2 years ago. So when they said “dudes, we`re getting married” we knew the shit hit the fan!

Fast forward `till about a week ahead of the wedding, they tell us that we (Ioana and I) are best-man and the +1. So she`s getting the white thingy off the bride`s head, and I`ll be receiving the groom`s flower (according to tradition). That just made things allot more complicated for us … mentally wise. We were already running around like headless chickens trying to look cool, you know : “masters of our domain” and stuff.

So D day arrives chaos breaks loose. All the people surrounding us were close friends. They all wanted pictures but with US in them, so that was kinda pain in the ass to do, but we managed it.

Because Pinka is a detail freak, everything worked like clockwork. The whole church ceremony (inside and outside) was stunning. (the priest talked a bit too much for my taste but who am I to judge : P) And because a good few of the guests made their appearance at the church I managed to get some snaps that I otherwise would have not had the occasion to.

We managed to squeeze a crazy booth at the reception (a blast, I tell you!) but there were so many pictures that I jumped that part altogether. And thanks to a carefully thought gift we managed to print some pictures right there for the guests and close family (mainly `chause we new there would be some time before we could give them the actual processed pictures).

The actual photo-shoot occurred the next day at the airfield, just as I planned almost a year in advance.

Oh, and the freshest news is: “we`ll probably be called |Uncle Vlad| and |Aunt Ioana| in a few months”

The wedding was wonderful. I had the worst cold of my life (41* fever and I was shaking off beat like a leaf in the wind). Speaking of “beat”, the band was awesome, and everybody was hitting the dance floor no mater the age!

Throughout the day my throat has been unusable, which was probably for the best … although I frequently tried to communicate my ideas to those in front of my camera … especially the cameraman who kept on stepping into the frame the whole wedding. Bygones!

All in all, we had a blast. Vlad and Oana had a great time, and everything turned out for the better. (except the church they got married in … which burned down during a thunder storm aprox. three weeks after)

Do enjoy the pictures and keep in mind, the selection was hard to make due to the fact that we selected ~150 pictures for the album, and you`re seeing just 42 of them.

A couple of months ago she gave us the big news: she was getting married to this man who seemed to make her the happiest ever. Not only that we were thrilled to hear that, but we found out she was also a beautiful “future mommy”! So our happiness doubled.

They had a perfect wedding in the most beautiful place in Bacau. The atmosphere was warm and happy, they were surrounded by good friends and family not afraid to take it tot the next level.

Fritz is a loony, always was – always will be, and Nichi is a funny down-to-earth man who loves her very much!

I betcha you can imagine how the pictures turned up. Use caution, 40 pictures ahead!

The CityHall Ceremony took place in Bucharest on Thursday 24th of June; my hell week. I was in Bacau for 5 days, then on Thursday morning @7:00AM I jumped on the train to Bucharest. The train was supposed to arrive at 11:45AM. It didn`t! The locomotive broke down after half an hour. It got to Bucharest North Train Station @ 13:25. Needless to say I had to be at the City Hall at 13:30.

I asked somebody to fill in for me in case the train wouldn`t make it in time, but I called and canceled when the driver said “well be in Bucharest @ 13:00″. I had time… but then who thought that a late train would have to wait just outside the train station for 25 minutes just to get a pass to a free platform.

I got the the City Hall at 13:40 by cab miraculously nailing all the green lights. Lucky that the Romanian bureaucracy worked in my favor. Laura and Ionut got postponed another 30min.

But enough blabber. Here are the pictures:

Sandu is Ioana’s cousin so a couple of weeks before the wedding, we were asked by Mihaela and him to be the best man and the bride’s maid for them. That resulted in a very fun and busy wedding for us, because besides taking the photos, which we loved doing, we were there to help with anything all day.

So it was a lot of fun guys! And we’re very happy for you!
